• Planting Trees to Conserve Biodiversity

Himalaya has pledged to conserve biodiversity through several initiatives. A major focus area is the tree-planting drives conducted annually to restore the green cover of our planet and help uplift the lives of local communities.

  • Plastic Waste Management

Plastic recycling and waste management are priorities in Himalaya. We are dedicated to driving initiatives that help bring about changes to reduce our packaging footprint. Our goal is to maximize our efforts in managing plastic waste in packaging materials.

  • Harnessing Solar and Renewable Power to Conserve Energy

We have installed a sustainable power source at our Makali campus in Bengaluru, India. Our efforts in conserving energy have helped us save over USD 3.26 million (INR 24.92 Crores) from the date of installation till March 2022.

  • Wealth Out of Waste

Himalaya is reducing the waste arising from product packaging to minimize waste generation. In addition to exploring a viable replacement for plastic packaging, we have undertaken measures to collect, recycle, process, and responsibly dispose of the plastic waste generated from post-consumer use.

  • Rainwater Harvesting

Himalaya has undertaken water conservation efforts through rainwater harvesting. We use rainwater to recharge our water wells and increase the groundwater level. Since the year 2000, our efforts have positively affected the entire ecosystem; we enjoy summers without worrying about water scarcity.
