In alignment with the health program of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, Himalaya collaborated with the United Sisters Foundation to kickstart the “Jagriti” campaign and promote menstrual hygiene education and management.

Jagriti aims to identify, educate, and empower women aged 10-45 years from the underprivileged sections of society. We conduct informative and interactive sessions for women in rural India. We engage with girls and women through regular follow-ups to understand the improvement in their knowledge, attitude, and adoption of measures regarding menstrual health management. In addition, we record the program's impact and analyze the best possible way forward to ensure sustainable practices are followed. Currently, we have connected with 1,283 women and girls, provided training to make reusable cloth pads, and encouraged conversations around menstrual health management.

As an extension of this project, we have associated with two more NGOs, Alig and Raza Education & Social Welfare Society, undertaking similar awareness and training programs.
