As a company committed to sustainability, Himalaya is reducing the waste from product packaging to minimize waste generation. In addition to exploring a viable replacement for plastic packaging, we have implemented a process to collect, recycle, process, and responsibly dispose of the plastic waste generated from post-consumer use. Customers return the product containers to the retail store. Himalaya retail stores across India collected 714,672 units of empty containers.
Our campus in Bengaluru is a zero-waste facility. We are committed to creating a sustainable economy by recycling discarded materials and resources for other uses. We have been awarded the ISO 14001:2015 certification, a globally recognized standard for environment management.
Himalaya is partnering with the Indian Tobacco Company's (ITC) Wealth Out of Waste (WOW) program. Since the start of the project, 1,431,095 kg of wastepaper has been recycled, and 34,924 trees have been saved.
