We have an ISO 14001:2004 certification for our Environment Management System and our zero waste discharge policy is our commitment to a sustainable economy.
Our waste management project is designed to make discarded materials resources for other use. We have partnered with ITC’s Wealth-Out-of-Waste (WOW) initiative to process non-hazardous dry waste. Since 2013 through this movement, we have recycled over 700 tons of non-hazardous dry waste generated at our Makali, Bengaluru campus. We recycle more than 90% of the solid waste.
All waste from our facility is segregated at source and scientifically disposed. All our liquid waste viz. waste water is treated scientifically and disposed according to the norms set by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KPSCB). Hazardous waste is stored in an identified place and disposed to authorized vendors approved by KPSCB.
Approximately 150,000 liters of water per day from our factories is treated and used in 10 acres of our homegrown green landscape area. This landscape contains 2500 Napier grass, 400 coconut trees, 3500 golden bamboos tree and also a vegetable garden.
